This is an oasis of water, but it's beauty is deceiving, Deadly sand creatures and thieves.
2010-10-03 [Elwyne]: (watches for a moment and waits for an oppurtunity for the oddball Deltira to show up)
2010-10-03 [Eyden13]: lol.
2010-10-03 [Elwyne]: ooooh! (has a crazy enough idea)
2010-10-03 [Eyden13]: Hey I'm done fot the night. Be back tomorrow.
2010-10-03 [Elwyne]: kk, good night, we'll try not to get too far without you.
2010-10-03 [Elwyne]: going to wait for Jafar to respond again.
2010-10-05 [KnightAngel]: Erh, isn't jafar the guy that got turned into a genie of the lamp by Genie? o.o
2010-10-05 [Elwyne]: (laughs) In the Disney movies yes. That didn't happen in the real Aladin story I don't think. It's been a while since I read it. But I'm not sure this Jafar is the same Jafar. Have to check the bio but I think he's like the son of THAT Jafar or something.
2010-10-05 [KnightAngel]: *blinks* No idea, never read the story, only seen the movie XP
2010-10-05 [Elwyne]: well I guess I'm more of a reader than a movie watcher. Although I can't claim to have read all of the Arabian Night's stories. I have read Ali Baba and the 40 theives too... and possibly some others I just can't remember them.
2010-10-05 [KnightAngel]: *chuckles* I love reading but haven't been able to find that book o.o Don't even know if our library has that book XD And yeah I watch more movies though, especially disney, but I do know that many of the disney movies were in fact "danish" so to speak or rather the story behind them ^^
2010-10-05 [Elwyne]: Do you know the story behind the Arabian Nights? I mean why those stories were... told.
2010-10-05 [KnightAngel]: *blinks* huh? And well meant the stories some of the disney movies were based upon, actually quite many of the good old classic ones anyway
2010-10-05 [Elwyne]: oh, Disney does a lot of different fairy tales, but the Arabian nights is a bit different. They were a series of stories told by the wife of the sultan so he wouldn't kill her. If she wasn't able to keep her husband entertained for a certain length of time she would die. So she told story after story to him and eventually she won her life. It's the truth too, though the stories she told weren't. That's where Aladin and Ali baba and many other stories like that were from.
2010-10-05 [Elwyne]: hrmmm... should we wait for Jafar's response again? I don't want to crowd Eyden out.
2010-10-05 [KnightAngel]: Okay and I believe I've heard that and well still quite a lot of the disney movies, most as far as I know, at least of the famous ones they were actually created from stories written by a danish author, true a rather famous one but still ^^ A few of the short ones, those like... 5-10 minute clips like the mickey mouse kinds, a few of those are actually also some of his :P
